Pyramid Licensing
Pyramid is licensed by server and named users, licensed with differing levels of functionality. In addition there are also additional optional server extensions. See below for user types and a list of server extensions that are worth reviewing.
The following tables shows the differences in application functionality by server edition type.

Additional License Options
The following table lists additional licenses that may be purchased - they are not available out of the box.
Contact your Pyramid sales executive for details of pricing.

Description |
---|---|
Use the Chatbot to create formulas (also called calculations) in Formulate. |
The Decision Flow functionality allows designers to build a "flow" that represents a chain of events with conditional switches to drive actions, messaging, Pyramid tasks, or third-party downstream software applications. |
The Embed package in Pyramid allows BI developers to embed visuals, reports and dashboards from Discover or Present into any website. Two modes are available. Either can be implemented, but not both.
The Hub can only be embedded with the 'Named Embedding' option. |
Enables multi-tenant operations. Typically used by customers who provide hosted service to their customers. |
Access to the OData feed from Pyramid - allowing other data applications to use data from Pyramid reports and content. |
OEM |
The OEM package enables interactions between Pyramid and their partners, without including the customers of those partners. In this scenario, the customers typically use a white labeled version of the system which is managed by the partners on their behalf. The functionality includes:
Access to certain data sources like SAP BW, SAP HANA, HANA Cloud, and DataSphere. |
The Report Bursting license enables users to send Publication and Subscription generated content as attachments when distributing using email. Without this option, the content is presented as a link for downloading content in the email. |
The Solve engine for Tabulate enables access to the Solve model, providing a set of wizards and engines designed to let users build decision models and drive advanced optimization logic for what-if and prescriptive analyses. The type of Solve engine - standard or enterprise - depends on your Solve license. For more information, see Solve Access. |
The Tabulate package enables access to the Tabulate model, enabling users to design and build business models and decision models. It provides a live connection to multiple data queries, enabling users to report and build models on data that can change dynamically. |
Use tabulations created in Tabulate as your data source. |
Watsonx LLMs can be licensed through Pyramid, to provide a hermetically sealed LLM sandbox for all relevant generative-BI functionality. |
The white labeling package allows admins to change the branding of the application, and to disable or customize help and support links. |
The Xtender engine allows clients with many customers to use a single data model and analytics catalog with different data sources for each customer. |
