The change description function in the content system allows users to add or update the description set for that item. Typically the description is added when a content item is saved. This function allows users to edit and change that description as needed if they have WRITE access to content items.
Changing the Description
The description for an item can be done via the right-click context menu in most of the content views in the content manager. This will prompt the user with a simple dialog box for editing the current description text.
Alternatively, the description can be seen on the action panel. Clicking the "pen" edit icon will allow users to edit the description in place (provided they have write access to the content item).
Note: Folder descriptions can also be set using the action panel.
