Different calculations may be applied from the Periods options:
- Parallel Period: returns a member from a previous period. The parallel period functions are supported by user hierarchies in MS OLAP, Tabular, and BW data models only.
- Period on Period: returns a member that is one position before the given member.
- Full Period: returns a list of dates in a full time period. These functions are supported when working with a SQL data source date-time hierarchy only.
- Parallel Day: returns the given date and the corresponding date from the given parallel period. These functions are supported when working with a SQL data source date-time hierarchy only
