Column Description

End-users see a tooltip when hovering over columns; the default tooltip consists of the column name. You can add a description to the column's properties, which will also appear in the column tooltip This can be a good way of providing end-users with additional information or context about the data model.

Add a Column Description

The 'Description' field is found in the column's properties (green highlight below):

Write the description that should appear in the column's tooltip:

When the data model is opened in other modules, users will see the description in the column tooltip when hovering over the column:

The description also appears in the tooltip when the column is added to the query. The tooltip is displayed when users hover over the column in the visualization:
