Present Interface Differences

Pyramid offers multiple apps and tools (aka "modalities") for accessing Present, with varying degrees of functionality and sophistication. These configurations and options are typically orchestrated by system administrators, who ensure the right interface is presented to the right person at the right time.

By assigning profiles to users, Admins can manage who can access Present Lite (the streamlined toolset for non-technical users) or Present Pro (the full Present toolset, typically with all sophisticated features enabled).

The Admin can apply the following options to a given Profile (access to Present Pro is supported for Scientist and Pro users only):

Combinations

Using the preceding matrix, the following example user deployments are possible (there are numerous permutations):

  • A pro user, with authoring rights using the Present Lite interface rather than the full Present Pro toolset.
  • A pro user, with authoring rights using the Smart Present tools only in the Present dashboard builder.
  • A viewer user, with no authoring rights can manipulate existing content using Analyze Further if this capability is enabled in a dashboard.
  • Any user viewing live interactive Presentations embedded in a third-party application, without authoring capabilities.
