UrlEncode (PQL)

Returns the string encoded for URLs (or URIs) by swapping characters into UTF-8 character representation

  • Compatibility:
    • Can be combined with and other PQL function throughout the application.
    • It CANNOT be used with MDX or VBA functions. But it can be used on MDX-based content in other parts of the application.

Syntax

UrlEncode( <Text> )

Comments
  • The input text string can be any alphanumeric set of characters.
  • Unencoded strings may not always work in browsers. Encoding them eliminates issues.
Different Function types
  • To reverse encoding, use the UrlDecode function.

This example returns "https://mozilla.org/?x=%D1%88%D0%B5%D0%BB%D0%BB%D1%8B" from the input string "https://mozilla.org/?x=шеллы"
