The Script Editor is an interface for writing PQL, MDX, and SQL scripts. It is available in multiple venues throughout the application for advanced operations. This includes:
- The formulate tools which have a script mode
- Custom Calculations in Model
- Creation of Master Flows in Model
- Member Security in the Data Source Manager
The Scripting Editors
The language presented to the user depends on the data source, context and functionality.
PQL Editor
The PQL editor is available from Model when creating calculated columns from the Data Flow, and when writing expressions to create conditional processes in the Master Flow.
The PQL editor can also be accessed via the Formula and List components when building custom scripts and dynamic lists.
MDX Editor
The MDX editor replaces the PQL editor when working with OLAP, Tabular, and SAP BW data models. It features the same interface as the PQL editor.
SQL Editor
The SQL editor is available from Model when adding Query nodes to the data flow, and when adding scripts to the Master Flow.
