The Notes in Discover can include auto-generated notes when the advanced ML or analytic algorithms are used. These notes are appended to any custom user generated notes added through the note interface.
The notes will also appear in Present dashboards when hovering over the notes icon in the bottom right or left hand corner of the visuals.
The explanatory notes are auto updated when the underlying mechanism has been changed.
Auto-Explanations
Applying outlier, clustering, regression, forecasting, or fill blanks calculations to the query auto-generates an explanation in the Notes feature. This explains how the calculation was evaluated and which algorithm was used.
- The explanation contains the calculation name, the query attributes, and the method use to calculate the results.
- To view the auto-generated explanation, enable Notes from the Design ribbon. The explanations can also be viewed downstream in presentations.
