VDB (PQL - xl)

This function returns the depreciation of an asset for any period you specify using the variable declining balance method

  • Library: PQL \ Spreadsheet \ Financial
  • Compatibility: Any content (regardless of data source) in the Tabulate spreadsheet module
  • Solve: This function can be used with the Solve plug-in: both as part of the objective function and constraint functions

Syntax

VDB(cost, salvage, life, start period, end period, OPTIONAL factor, OPTIONAL no switch)

Number representing the starting period for which to calculate the depreciation in the same units as life; if not an integer, the number is truncated

Rate at which the balance declines; if omitted, uses two (2)
