Managing Publications
Managing your publications, whether you have built them in Publish Lite or Publish Pro, is consistent throughout the system. You can save and share your publications; open your publications at "design time" for editing and management; and build your publications for your readers in a format (PDF, XML, and so on) that suits their requirements.
Note: Once you've saved your publications, you can open them, edit them, save changes, or save a new version. Other users may also be able to open, edit, and export them, depending on whether you shared them.
The information in this section is mostly common across Publish Lite and Publish Pro.
Saving and sharing publications
Once you have created a publication in Publish Lite or Publish Pro, you can save it either to your own personal folder or to folders that you share with other Pyramid users. Publish offers all the typical save functionality, including Save, Save and Close, Save all open items, and Save as. It also offers advanced options such as Save as version, if you want to track changes to the publication over time.

Opening and editing publications
An existing publication, created in Publish Lite or Publish Pro and saved to the database, can be opened from the Content Manager, your Pyramid home page, or using the Quick open panel to the left of your App Tabs. Once open, your roles and licensing options control your ability to view and edit the content of the publication.

Subscribing to publications
Create a subscription to instruct Pyramid to build your publication at regular intervals, with particular settings. When subscribing to a publication, you can specify the notification message to send when the document is published, the schedule on which it should be published (every day, on demand, and so on), which channels to distribute the publication to (email, bulletin board, and so on), the appropriate format for your publication, and the data selection to use where there are slicers.

Building your publications
You can manually launch a publication at any time, running the export and print process to create a single document in any of the supported formats with specific slicer options selected. You might want to do this to preview your final document; checking that your data reads correctly, your branding follows the corporate styles, and your content is clear and well-structured. When printing an inline email publication, the platform produces the underlying HTML that would be injected into the body of an email.
