The data modeling tools allow users to configure the data model by defining joins, editing tables and columns, and building hierarchies.
The data modeling tools are available from the Advanced Data Flow, both when building new data models and editing existing ones. They are also available from the Step by Step modeling wizard.
Read through this section for information about:
- Configuration: naming the data model, and other configuration options
- Tables: adding relationships between tables, which will add joins at runtime when querying the model
- Columns: configure the columns within the model's tables
- Hierarchy: build user hierarchies, to enable drill functions later on
