Present Lite Ribbon

The Present Lite ribbon, along the top of the Present Lite workspace, provides options for formatting and managing the appearance of your presentation. When you select different panels on a slide, options are shown on the ribbon that are relevant to the selected panel. For example, you always see the Add Slide option, but only see font formatting options if a text panel is selected.

Run Presentation (F2)

Purple arrow

Click Run Presentation (purple highlight, above) or press your F2 key to run the presentation. The runtime version of the presentation builds and opens in Present, with the slide that is currently open showing as the first page. Tip: Always save your presentation before you run it; this ensures you include your recent changes.

Add Slide

Red arrow

Add a new slide to your presentation. Tip: You can also create a new slide from the add button at the top of the Slides panel.

Change Theme

Orange arrow

Choose a design theme for the presentation.

Show Panels

Show or hide panels:

  • On - Each visual is presented in a panel which includes a "surround"; that is, a border, title, and so on.
  • Off - Each visual is presented as an image without a surround (visual content only).

Note: The panel tools (shown when you hover over the panel at runtime) are unaffected by this selection.

Show Cover

Include a presentation cover:

  • On - The first slide in the presentation is a cover and uses the cover master to define its appearance. All other slides are content and use the content master. Tip: You might want to add a cover if you are applying corporate branding to your presentation.
  • Off - All slides have the same basic appearance. There is no cover to the presentation and all pages use the same content master.

Alignment

Align selected items vertically and horizontally. Note: This option is only enabled where multiple content items are selected on the canvas.
