Pyramid Content as a Source

The Pyramid Content node is used to bring Pyramid Discover reports and Tabulate spreadsheets into your Data Flow as your data source. You can select reports from any model and any folder location, so long as you have access to the folder and the report, and the underlying data source driving these items. In the case of discoveries, it is also important to note that the visualization type used in the report (pie, scatter, and so on) does not matter.

Pyramid Discover Reports

Pyramid Discover Reports are a powerful technique for effectively running a SQL or MDX query against a data source to produce an enriched query result that can then be easily fed into a data flow and used to drive another downstream data set. In creating the report, the user can build any query logic they choose, from attribute and base measure selections, through to complex formulas and lists. The net result is then used as an imported table of data in the data flow.

Pyramid Tabulate Spreadsheets

Pyramid Tabulate Spreadsheets take cell values from the virtual spreadsheets in Pyramid and turn them into a data source to drive downstream data sets. In creating and manipulating the spreadsheet, users can combine live data from multiple queries, across multiple data sources; blend values with spreadsheet formulas (on top of any formulas in the live data itself); and embellish the sheet with static values that an end user could have typed into the spreadsheet itself.

Note: Pyramid's In-memory database can also be used as a source to drive data flows. Click here for more information about "IMDB."
