Distribution in Publish Pro
The distribution details determine how your publication will be delivered to its recipients. Document publications can be distributed using Pyramid's bulletin board, one or more email addresses, or Webhook channels, as defined and configured in the Distribution section or the Schedule panel. Inline email publications can only be distributed via email, obviously .
Accessing the Distribution Settings
You can open the Distribution section and choose how to distribute your built publications:
- From the Schedule panel.
- In the CMS, from the Schedule button at the top of your publication's Actions Panel.
Distribution Options
Note: You cannot distribute publications by SMS message.
Common
Limit to fully successful results only
Select the Limit to fully successful results only checkbox to prevent automatic distribution where content was not built completely successfully; that is, where a scheduled build "finished with errors" (or is a "Partial Success" in the language of the Task Manager):
- Where this option is not selected (default), the output is built and automatically distributed according to the schedule. The broken item is simply excluded from the output.
- Where this option is selected, the output is built with the missing broken item but it is not automatically distributed. You can still view the built output in the Schedule Manager, but it is not distributed.
Bulletin Board Distribution
Share scheduled document publications with Pyramid users using the Pyramid application by distributing them to the Bulletin Board. You can govern who has access to these publications by setting up user role security.

Email Distribution
Email distribution offers you the flexibility to send scheduled document publications by email. This ensures you're able to automatically distribute scheduled publications to report consumers, including those who may not have access to Pyramid.

This is the only mechanism relevant for inline email distribution.
Note: The emailing option is not operational unless messaging services have been enabled in the admin console first.
Note: Sending documents as an attachment is only available with the External Bursting License. Otherwise, only the linked option will be functional.
Webhook Channel Distribution
Webhook distribution is used to distribute documents to a Webhook channel. This can be a channel on Microsoft Teams or Slack, or it could be another third-party site.
Note: Webhook channel distribution is available with the Enterprise Edition license only.
File Distribution
File distribution is used to distribute your document publications by writing them to custom directories on an external File System such as Amazon S3 or an FTP server.
