Analyst User

Users with an Analyst license have access to a subset of the full client, where they can author queries, dashboards, publications and tabulations using a "Lite" version of the Pro Apps.

  • Users with the Pro user license should refer to the Pro Help
  • Users with the Viewer license should refer to the Viewer Help. (See below)
  • All user types work - as is - on tablet devices.
  • A simplified viewer experience (for all user types) is available separately on mobile phones.

This section of the help cover the key elements of the functionality available to an Analyst user:

  • Workflow Overview, the general application workflow and how the apps fit together.
  • Workspace: the key elements of the Analyst client application interface
    • Home Page : the main landing page when entering the Analyst Client
    • Bulletin Board: a viewer of all model batch jobs, including a publication and alert in-box as well as the conversation thread viewer
    • App Tabs: the main interface when using the different apps, after they have been launched
  • Content Management System (CMS): the centralized framework organizing, managing and sharing of content

The "Analyst" user in Pyramid is made up of several modules, with each designed to address a specific business or functional need.

App Interface

Once one or more apps are launched (either with new or existing content), the Analyst user switches to a tabbed interface called the "App Tab" mode. Within this mode, each app is shown as a tab for the relevant content item. In this way, multiple instances of a given app can be launched simultaneously.

All of the 4 apps in the Analyst user share a common layout and design structure within each tab.

  • Workspace: the key elements of the application interface
    • Home Page : the main landing page when entering the Client
    • Bulletin Board: a viewer of all model batch jobs, including a publication and alert in-box as well as the conversation thread viewer
    • App Tabs: the main interface when using the different apps, after they have been launched
  • Content Management System (CMS): the centralized framework organizing, managing and sharing of content
  • Lite App Modules covers in-depth help on each part of the application:
    • Discover Lite: build visualizations and find out what's in your data models.
    • Present Lite: design rich, interactive dashboards and BI applications
    • Publish Lite: author printable, highly formatted documents composed of analytic content, images and text
    • Tabulate Lite: design and build business models using a spreadsheet interface
